Supplying Manned Security Services throughout the UK for this retailer’s new store openings was a challenge.
Once the developer had completed the building we were tasked with securing the property whilst shopfitting and stocking were carried out.
Working very closely with management of the store and all of the trades operating on site to ensure protection of not only company stock and assets, but also the health and safety of the contractors and visitors to site. Our operatives were fully trained to deliver site inductions for visitors to the sites, ensuring compliance and safety throughout the premises.
We deployed a team of six operatives on the store opening events to provide protection and public safety. Again communicating with the store management was paramount, as each store opening had it’s own VIP to officially open the store, as well as the entertainment and performers at each event.
Due to multiple store openings at the same time, we trained three teams of operatives so that we could cover each store opening with officers experienced with the Clients requirements.
We managed to keep within budgets and performance targets for the Client, ensuring schedules were kept, assisting in keeping costs down on the program.
This contract demanded the experience and expertise across our organisation. Being a national contract local knowledge had to be gained,contacts for local emergency services had to be stored with our Control Room in case of incidents. The logistics of transporting staff around the country and arranging accommodation for them was also challenging. Arranging for sites to be visited by supervisors or our one of our mobile units required planning into our patterns.
We were involved in this program for over three years and had very few problems, this was a credit and testament to our staff who worked hard to ensure the smooth running of this project to the satisfaction of the Client.
